2025 Umpiring Program Nominations

We are excited to announce that nominations for the 2025 Umpiring Program are now open! This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your umpiring skills and join a dedicated and dynamic team.

We offer three distinct groups to match different levels of experience and career goals:

  • High Performing: For umpires advancing to their next badge level who have held their current badge for over 12 months.
  • TIDs: For newly awarded C National Badge umpires who received their badge within the past 18 months.
  • Road to Cs: For INA Club Umpires working towards obtaining their National C Badge.

Umpiring Pathway


High Performing Umpiring Program

Will be comprised of National Badge Umpires that either want to improve their umpiring, umpire high level games and/or move toward their next the badge level and have held their Badge of over 12 months.

 

Program will provide the following:

  • Rules Discussion via Zoom with guest panel during the season 
  • Coaching on Saturday Fixtures Games 
  • Pre-Season fitness training 

Requires of the Participates:

  • Accredited National Badge Umpire
  • Register with Netball Queensland for 2023 Season either as a player or non-player
  • Blue Card linked to Ipswich Netball (anyone over the age of 18 years)
  • Umpire GBNL games in the 2024 season (Either Thursday or Friday night at least once a fortnight and receive payment)
  • Attend one (1) Sunday Rep Carnival or State Age as a PAID Head Umpire to provide coaching to other umpires during the 2024 Season
  • Roster on as Head Umpire for two Saturday fixtures dates (one morning and one afternoon timeslot) – includes helping with umpiring check in and provide mentoring to other umpires
  • Umpiring a minimum of eight (8) rounds of INA Saturday fixtures at the Division 1 and 2 Level
  • Must be available to mentor Road to C participants on a rotating schedule
  • Attend all umpiring workshop and rule discussion hosted by INA
  • Attend the pre-season fitness program.

TID (Talent Identification Development) Umpiring Program

Will be comprised of newly C National Badge Umpires, that have been awarded their badge in the past 18 months, that either want to improve their umpiring, umpire high level games and/or move toward their next the badge level.

 

Program will provide the following:

  • Rules Discussion via Zoom with guest panel during the season 
  • Coaching on Saturday Fixtures Games 
  • Coaching during State Age Carnivals
  • Pre-Season fitness training 

Requires of the Participates:

  • Current Accredited National Badge Umpire
  • Register with Netball Queensland for 2024 Season either as a player or non-player
  • Blue Card linked to Ipswich Netball (anyone over the age of 18 years)
  • Umpire at either one of the QLD State Age Carnivals in the 2024 season and receive payment
  • Umpire at one (1) Saturday/Sunday Rep Carnival as a paid umpire
  • Umpire a minimum of eight (8) rounds of INA Saturday fixtures aiming for Division 3 games by the end of the season
  • Roster on as Head Umpire for one Saturday fixtures dates (either one morning and one afternoon timeslot) – includes helping with umpiring check in and assisting with the learning on how of providing mentoring to other umpires
  • Attend one rules discussion workshop and one practical umpiring workshop
  • Attend the pre-season fitness program.

Road to C Umpiring Program

Will be comprised of INA Club Umpires that are working toward there National C Badge.

 

Program will provide the following:

  • Rules Discussion via Zoom with guest panel during the season
  • Coaching on Saturday Fixtures Games 
  • Coaching on Sunday Rep Carnival 
  • Pre-Season fitness training 
 

Requirements of the Participates

  • Umpire must be capable of umpiring without a runner or support
  • Pass Theory Mark of 70% for online Umpiring Exam
  • Completed Foundation Umpiring Course
  • Register with Netball Queensland for 2023 Season either as a player or non-player
  • Blue Card linked to Ipswich Netball (anyone over the age of 18 years)
  • Umpiring a minimum of eight (8) rounds of INA Saturday fixtures aiming for Cadets games by the end of the season
  • Umpire a minimum of two (2) Sunday Rep Carnivals and receive payment 
  • Attend one rules discussion workshop and one practical umpiring workshop
  • Attend the pre-season fitness program.
